Discovering the performing bug in his teenage years, Matt began to sing, act and dance for Paramount's King's Island, Royal Caribbean, Disney Cruise Lines, Tokyo Disney Resort, and countless corporate acts. Matt took the next serious step in his career by moving to New York and starting training at Terry Schreiber Studios (legendary acting coach to Edward Norton).

Matt's singing landed him a spot in a pop group called Northern Line along side another up and comer Channing Tatum (Step Up, Coach Carter, Public Enemies and Dear John). During his study, Matt worked on such popular TV shows as All My Children, One Life to Live, and Rescue Me.

Shortly after re-locating to Australia to be with his wife, Matt became an original cast member of Wicked, opening in Melbourne. While on stage Matt has been working along side some of Australia's great talents, such as Rob Guest, Bert Newton and Maggie Kirkpatrick. Maintaining a strong passion and desire to keep learning and improving, he has also trained with Kim Krejus (16th street acting studio), Toni Scanlan, Michael Smith, and Gary May.
