Karina was born in Durham, North Carolina, the youngest of three children to Polish parents and now speaks English, Polish, French and Spanish fluently. Her passion for performance became clear when she break-danced in Rideau Mall to a boom box left unattended after a show at the age of four.
Living in the States for three years before moving to Ottawa, Canada, Karina’s first role was that of Duke d’Alencon in her school’s play of Joan of Arc. Subsequently, she studied theatre and dance at Canterbury’s Performing Arts High School and continued to appear in local productions, including the lead role of Tatiana in the stageplay, Onegin, popularised by Liv Tyler in the feature film of the same name.
Her world travels brought her to Sydney, Australia where she studied intensively the Meisner Technique under Luke Ford and landed a number of TV commercials and short student films. Soon after, Karina was accepted into Australia’s most prestigious acting school, National Institute of Dramatic Art, where she studied The Screen Actor course under Nicholas Bishop before returning to LA to be taught by eminent Casting Directors, Talent Managers, Producers and Acting Teachers, including Doug Warhit. Her latest role was that of lead day-player Aneta Pochopien on Channel 7’s, The Suspects in 2010 .
Karina enjoys dividing her time between Hollywood and Sydney.
